Helen Carey is best known as the author of the best selling Lavender Road series set London in WWII. She lives in Newport, Pembs on a small coastal farm which she and her husband run as a conservation project. She teaches creative writing at the University of Wales and is a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund at Aberystwyth University. She is happy to give talks or to run writing courses for book clubs etc. She is also an artist and has recently made a gallery out of a old goat shed.

Each Tipi has its own kitchen set outside, fully equipped with  pots and pans, cutlery, cups and plates for four. There is a two ring gas burner with grill for easy cooking, boiling of kettles and plenty of toast. Although there is a cold running tap with each kitchen, there is no power supply to the site….after all you are camping !

Outside the Tipi and kitchen area is a fire pit and picnic table.
